READ Posters - Featuring Paul Edwards - our first responder!

My favorite book is Lonesome Dove. It is probably among the top 3 books I have ever read.  I love it because it immerses you in the lives of some very interesting people who run a ranch and operate a cattle drive.  The book is exciting, hilarious, and sad, and it exemplifies the spirit of adventure that most men desire to be a part of.

From the Librarians...

We would like to encourge students to read by featuring as many readers as possible  for an ongoing  " Reading with the Summer Creek Family" display.  The featured readers for the month of February are:  ( Principal) Paul Edwards, Irma Hernandez, Thyrun Hurst, Marcia Sinitiere, Reggie Spivey, Pam Lovell, Leslie Sproat, Sam Pollard, Britany Wheeler, Tayla Bean and two student library aides, Sabrina and Stephanie.  We are looking for volunteers for March If you like to read, please let us hear from you!  At the end of each month, we will give you the poster to keep.

It will be first come, first serve.  Please email Donna or Louise with  MARCH READ POSTER REQUEST in the subject line. It would be great if you would follow Paul's lead and write a sentence or two describing why you liked the book.  We'll get back to you concerning a good time for your picture.  Please let us know in advance what the title of your book is so that we can locate a display copy.  Thanks for your interest.
