Project Explanation

The students will use computers to locate different restaurants for their logos for a PowerPoint project. 

You may print your powerpoint slides by saving the document in your personal file.  Pick up your print-outs at the help desk.  The first two pages are free.  After that, the charge is 5 cents per page. 


    Recommended Database

    Check out the Occupational Outlook Handbook   to find information about restaurant careers.  Descriptions include:

    • employment prospects
    • future needs
    • work environment
    • education and training

    Ferguson 's career  database is a  great source of information covering all types of careers in the restaurant  field.  Each career type includes:

    Click on Destiny to search for your specific career.  You will also find a resource list of books on restaurant related careers.  You are welcome to check these books out from the library. 

    Search the career ebook collection below. These books do not have to be checked out and can be accessed from any internet enabled computer. (24/7) 


    Career ebooks

    Try the ebook widget for information on a wide range of interesting careers.  Type "careers" for a long list of books on many different careeers. You can also narrow your search to a specific career  ex.  "medical careers."
